All recipients and applicants of the ‘Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah’ (STR) are requested to update their personal information to launch the second phase payment before Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
Deputy Minister of Finance, Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan said, the move needs to be done due to the fact that the previously collected data is old and there are recipients who have already changed their status.
Thus, STR recipients can apply and update their respective information starting from March 1st until next March 31st.
“STR payments are carried out in four installments, the first phase starting on January 17, the second phase before Hari Raya Aidilfitri, the third phase in July and the fourth phase next November,” he said as reported by local media.
In the meantime, Ahmad said, manual and online STR applicants in Kelantan so far are 806,024 people.
Of that amount, he said, a total of 587,160 applications were approved with a total payment of RM519,638,850.
“STR this time involves the largest allocation ever given which is RM8 billion to 9 million people. It will benefit the B40 group under IRB as the implementing agency,” he said.
