Emirates Joins DET At MATTA FAIR In Elevating Dubai As Global Destination

Emirates makes a comeback at the Malaysian Association of Tour & Travel Agents (MATTA) Fair 2023, together with the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) who is making an inaugural appearance at the travel fair.

As a Dubai-based carrier, the airline is well positioned to support DET’s mission of further elevating Dubai’s status as a global centre for business, investments and tourism through collaborative initiatives and future-driven programmes.

Saeed Mubarak, Emirates Country Manager in Malaysia, said: “This is a pivotal moment for Emirates, and we are thrilled to make a comeback at the MATTA Fair 2023 alongside our partner, DET, to help further elevate Dubai’s position as one of the world’s top three cities for travel and business.”

By June 2023, Malaysian travellers will benefit from Emirates’ increased connectivity to Dubai and beyond with three daily flights from Kuala Lumpur operated by a mix of Airbus A380 and Boeing 777 aircraft, followed by two A380 services and one Boeing 777 service by August 2023.

Shahab Shayan, Senior Manager of International Operations at DET, said: “I’m very happy to announce our participation at this year’s MATTA fair in partnership with Emirates. We are excited to be able to reconnect and share what Dubai has to offer and welcome Malaysian travellers back to Dubai in 2023”.
