Plus Announces Closer Of Meru Tunnel Left Lane From March 20

The highway concessionaire PLUS has informed that the left lane of the Meru tunnel at Kilometer (KM) 260.30 to KM262.05, North-South Expressway (Plus) southbound will be closed from this Monday until next April 14 for road paving work.

In a statement, PLUS announced the closure is to allow the second phase of road pavement improvement work to be carried out in stages between 9pm and 12 noon, throughout the period. It also said contra routes will be opened periodically if necessary, depending on the needs to facilitate traffic movement on the route involved.

Users heading south from Ipoh-Kuala Lumpur are advised to plan their journey by using the online application to get the latest traffic information. “Users are also advised to obey all traffic signs and instructions issued by Plus from time to time when passing through the affected area,” according to the statement.
