Bursa Mixed At Midday As Mild Selling Persists

Bursa Malaysia stayed mixed at midday on Monday (May 8) on volatile trading, as mild selling activities weighed on market breadth.

At 12.30pm, the FBM KLCI was 0.90 point higher at 1,431.94, from last Friday’s close at 1,431.04.

The benchmark index opened 1.26 points firmer at 1,432.30, and moved between 1,430.86 and 1,436.11 throughout the morning session.

However, market breadth remained negative, with decliners outpacing gainers 397 to 329, while 364 counters were unchanged, 1,151 untraded, and 11 others suspended.

Turnover stood at 1.56 billion units worth RM694.02 million.
