Elon Musk retweeted a comment from a user on his platform, and replying saying WhatsApp cannot be trusted after the user claimed the Meta owned platform had been using the microphone in the background.
The user further detailed how the mic was recording while he was asleep and that he only noticed when he woke up at 6 am In a screenshot of the timeline, the message showed the recording takes place from 4:00 am and recording every couple of minutes.
While it is ‘commonly’ known all Meta platforms like Facebook and Instagram do record conversations or catch keywords so that they can prompt the right advertisement or brand message to a user, the company has yet to come forth and admit or deny such activities.
Looks like Elon is not afraid to take on Mark Zuckerberg in this case, libel suit and counter suit coming?
