Bursa Mixed At Midday As Mild Selling Persists, KLCI In Positive Territory

Bursa Malaysia ended the morning session mixed as mild selling activities weighed on the overall market.

Nevertheless, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) managed to stay in positive territory, aided mainly by Tenaga Nasional Bhd.

At 12.30pm, the benchmark index increased 2.01 points to 1,427.69 from Wednesday’s close of 1,425.68.

The benchmark index opened at 1,425.58 and moved between 1,425.58 and 1,428.78 throughout the session.

Decliners outpaced gainers 376 to 289, while 386 counters were unchanged, 1,182 untraded, and 17 others suspended.

Turnover stood at 1.58 billion units worth RM743.17 million.
