MEASAT Providing High-Speed Satellite Broadband To Malaysian Armed Forces At Selected Remote Border Checkpoints

MEASAT will be providing CONNECTme NOW satellite broadband services for free under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme to frontline Malaysian Armed Forces personnel serving at selected remote border checkpoint posts located across Malaysia.

“The Malaysian Armed Forces welcomes the efforts of the private sector of Malaysia contributing their specialised capabilities, especially in realising initiatives that honor the services and sacrifices of members of the security forces who are protecting the nation. I look forward to other potential collaborations in the future,” added General Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Hj Affendi Bin Buang RMAF, Malaysian Chief of Defence Forces.

“MEASAT recognises the dedication of our military personnel and is pleased to support the Malaysian Armed Forces teams in keeping our borders safe. We would like to make it more convenient for our dedicated soldiers to stay connected with their families through our high-speed CONNECTme NOW platform,” said Yau Chyong Lim, Chief Operating Officer, MEASAT.

CONNECTme NOW is a prepaid satellite broadband WiFi Hotspot service by MEASAT. It provides community-focused satellite broadband services to realise national broadband aspirations.
