Malaysian Aircraft Interior Service Provider Aims For Global Expansion

Malaysian aircraft interior service provider Pecca Aviation Services Sdn Bhd has embarked on a plan to expand internationally, bringing its brand of high-quality, customised, and cost-effective products and services to the European market for the first time.

“We aim to build lasting collaboration with international aviation industry players,” said Teoh Zi Yi, Executive Director of Pecca Group Berhad, the Malaysian industrial group that owns Pecca Aviation. “Together, we can shape the ultimate cabin and passenger experience.”

Pecca Group has been involved in the upholstery industry for over 25 years. The company is a one-stop centre: styling, manufacturing, distributing, and installing upholstery for car seat covers and interior products. In Malaysia, Pecca is the largest leather upholstery supplier serving the automotive market.

World-class leather upholstery for automotive and aviation markets

Diverse customer base: Pecca’s clients include Malaysian marques Perodua, Proton, and global names such as Nissan, Subaru, Ford, Mitsubishi Motors, Toyota, Hyundai, Peugeot, Volkswagen, Suzuki and Isuzu. Within the aviation space, Pecca’s client base includes the Royal Malaysian Air Force.

Global footprint: Pecca’s products are exported to the United States, Europe, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and other South-east Asian countries including Thailand, Indonesia, and Singapore.

Process knowledge: Through years of research and development and trial and error, Pecca Group has gained unique insight into the upholstery design and manufacturing process, as well as the procurement of critical raw materials.

An expanding production base: At its current 90,000-square-foot facility, Pecca uses state-of-the-art equipment to manufacture tens of thousands of seat covers every month, while retaining consistency and reliability. To meet rising demand, Pecca is now in the midst of doubling its production capacity; a new factory is expected to be completed in 2024.

Refurbishment and repairs: broken or cracked non-structural interiors, vinyl, plastic and composite materials interior parts – all plastic panels including the escutcheon, armrest, handrail, meal table, and window lid as well as panels from lavatories, galley and cockpit

Repairs and refurbishment (cut and sew) of seat cover leather/PVC/fabric, interior cabin sidewalls, including wrapping those materials

Deep cleaning for all seat cover upholstery, interiors and carpets
