XOX, KDDI Malaysia to Explore Commercial Opportunities in Cross-Border Collaboration

XOX Com Sdn. Bhd. (XOX) and KDDI Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (KDDI) announced they have agreed to work together to explore commercial opportunities, working to develop new products and services that will benefit their respective customers in Japan and Malaysia.

Both companies inked the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), today (June 28).

KDDI Malaysia, a subsidiary of KDDI Corporation, a one-stop provider that offers a multitude of communication services. KDDI Corporation is a provider of an integrated telecommunications services such as mobile and fixed-line broadband services, mobile communication, and fixed line communication under au brand.

As part of the collaboration, XOX and KDDI will be providing telecommunication services such as e-SIM to subscribers, deploying XOX’s SpaceX vending machines and joint development of XOX’s Nimbus mobile application as a value-added service to both parties’ mobile consumers across all regions of Japan and Malaysia. The collaboration also includes the utilisation of both companies’ latest technologies to facilitate the development and enhance the value of investment projects undertaken by XOX.

Asia Pacific has been reported to witness maximum Compound Annual Growth Rate (CACG) in 2023-2030 forecast, due to rapid implementation of Big Data, Internet of Things (IoT), 5G and cloud computing.

XOX Nimbus application allows users to manage digital media without utilising internal storage on their devices, and its integration into XOX’s mobile ecosystem presents opportunities for increased product transactions, direct sales and advertising.
