MYAirline Launches ‘MYAirline Students’ Program, Officially Launches First International Route From KL To Bangkok

MYAirline announced two significant initiatives that marks the beginning of its next phase of growth. At its Double Takeoff launch held at Kuala Lumpur International Airport Terminal 2 this morning (June 30), MYAirline introduced the ‘MYAirline Students’ program and officially launched its highly anticipated international route to Bangkok.

MYAirline’s CEO, Rayner Teo expresses commendation for the Fare prices for students’ initiative by YB Tuan Anthony Loke Siew Fook. Teo affirms, “From our first meeting with YB Tuan Anthony Loke, it became evident that he held a deep commitment to the welfare of students across the nation. We wholeheartedly support this initiative, and it has been in the works since the announcement on special fare for students was made in April 2023.

‘MYAirline Students’ program will alleviate the financial burden faced by parents sending their children to various institutions of higher learning throughout the country. We further believe that this initiative will foster closer family bonds, particularly during joyous celebrations and festive occasions.

‘MYAirline Students’, an exclusive program designed for Malaysian and foreign students enrolled in Malaysian institutions of higher learning, presents an array of benefits. Emphasizing our commitment to students welfare, the program offers a generous 20% discount on the fare and complimentary 15kg of baggage allowance for all current and future Malaysian domestic routes.

To qualify for the program, one must meet these simple requirements: be a registered member of MYAirline Rewards, provide valid enrollment letters with passport sized photo, and fall within the age bracket of 16 and 26 years old.

On MYAirline’s official launch of its first international route to Bangkok, YB Tuan Anthony Loke Siew Fook noted the strong economic and tourism prospects it unlocks for both Malaysia and its neighboring nation. YB Anthony Loke stated “Enhancing connectivity creates an environment that fosters better trade, investment and cultural exchange. The launch of this route is a significant step towards forging stronger regional ties and the collective potential of our economies and it will only bode well  for both countries moving forward.”

In a momentous send-off ceremony for Kuala Lumpur-Bangkok flight by YB Anthony Loke and MYAirline’s leadership team, passengers were greeted with special gift packs with exclusive merchandise from MYAirline and delightful treats from Julie’s biscuits and Yeo’s brown sugar soy milk drinks.

Emphasizing the extensive preparation that led to the official launch, Rayner said “Months of hard work and meticulous planning have led us to this significant milestone. Our inaugural flight to Bangkok on 28th June 2023 was just the beginning of our regional expansion journey and we look forward to announcing more developments in the coming months. We will also introduce a second flight to Bangkok via Don Mueang International Airport on 1 July 2023, offering more travel options.”
