Sunway Construction accepted the Letter of Award dated 28 June 2023 by Sunway REIT Management Sdn Bhd in respect of the Main Building Works for the refurbishment of Sunway Carnival Mall In Penang.
The group said the awarded contract sum for the Project is RM253 million which includes the cost of all preliminaries, transportation, load and unloading, wastages, taxes, duties, tariff, freight, insurance, warehouse storage, profits, and everything else necessary for the performance and conduct of operations required for the execution and completion of the Project.
The Project is for a period of 24 months from the date of commencement on 1 July 2023, and is expected to be completed by 30 June 2025. SunCon said the project is subject to the normal construction risk of material price fluctuations. However, with the past experience and expertise of SCSB in construction projects, these risks could be mitigated.
