Tony Fernandes pays tribute to his co-founder Datuk Pahamin who passed away due to a heart attack while heading to London to visit his children.
In an Instagram post, the Group Chief Executive Officer of AirAsia said there will be no AirAsia without Datuk Pahamin who was among the instrumental individuals together with Tony and Datuk Kamaruddin helped save the airline from DRB Hicom. Tony went on to add that Datuk Pahamin was a true patriot and that although they could not meet often but always in contact.
The AirAsia boss said AirAsia will come up with a fitting tribute and was comforted knowing Datuk Pahamin’s memory will be continued by his granddaughter whom he described as a chip of the old block.
