Bursa Ends Morning Session Higher Despite Cautious Regional Sentiment

Bursa Malaysia ended the morning session higher on Monday (July 10), supported by continued buying of most heavyweights, despite the cautious sentiment in regional markets, dealers said.

At 12.30pm, the FBM KLCI had risen 7.97 points to 1,385.64, from 1,377.67 at last Friday’s close.

The key index opened 0.11 of a point lower at 1,377.56 on Monday morning, the lowest level during the morning session, and hit a high of 1,386.94 in the mid-morning.

The broader market was slightly negative, as decliners led gainers 350 to 322, while 407 counters were unchanged, 1,180 untraded, and 26 others suspended.

Turnover stood at 1.28 billion units worth RM719.49 million.
