The retail price of RON97 and RON95 petrol and diesel will remain the same for the period from 20 to 26 July.
The Ministry of Finance in a statement today informed that based on the weekly retail price of petroleum products using the Automatic Price Mechanism (APM) formula, the price of RON97 will remain at RM3.37 per litre, RON95 RM2.05 per liter and diesel RM2.15 per litre.
“In order to protect consumers from the effects of the real increase in the price of oil in the global market, the government maintains the retail price of RON95 petrol at a ceiling price of RM2.05 per liter and diesel at RM2.15 per liter even though the market price of both products has increased above the ceiling price that has been set, ” according to the statement.
The ministry also assured that it will continuously monitor the impact of changes in world oil prices and take appropriate measures to ensure the welfare and well-being of the people are maintained.
