Malaysia will submit a new proposal regarding the Kuala Lumpur-Singapore High Speed Rail (HSR) project to the island nation after obtaining an initial fresh decision from the government, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
He said the new proposal would be brought to Singapore’s attention by Transport Minister Anthony Loke.
“That is not yet… our stage, as soon as there is a preliminary decision, it will be raised by the minister, Anthony Loke for the attention of Singapore,” he told the media after officiating the Malaysian Commercialisation Year Summit in Kuala Lumpur today (Aug 4).
Previously the media reported that the Singapore government has not received any new proposals from Malaysia regarding the Kuala Lumpur-Singapore HSR project.
According to Singapore’s Acting Minister of Transport Chee Hong Tat, the country is ready to discuss with Malaysia about the re-implementation of the project.
