KKD Launches Affordable 5G RAHMAH Package, Civil Servant Incentive – Smartphones From RM120

The Ministry of Communications and Digital (KKD) in collaboration with the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), the telecommunications service providers (telco) involved and two device manufacturers namely Samsung Malaysia and Honor Malaysia will offer the 5G RAHMAH Package and RAHMAH Public Servant Postpaid Incentive.

Both are Internet service packages that are cheaper than existing packages in the market.

RAHMAH’s 5G package is a 5G smartphone data plan package (device bundle) with the price of Samsung A14 5G and Honor 90 Lite 5G smartphones as low as RM240.00 along with a 60GB data plan at a price of RM60.00 per month. This package is open to all Malaysians to subscribe to.

For the B40 group, the first 100,000 customers will enjoy the RAHMAH 5G Package with a smartphone price as low as RM120.00. The package will be on the market starting on 31 August 2023 with a 24-month subscription contract. This package also offers a warranty period of 2 years compared to only 1 year before.

In appreciation of civil servants, RAHMAH Civil Servants Postpaid Incentive was also introduced with a rebate of RM10 per month which will be enjoyed by all civil servants in Malaysia. It applies to any existing postpaid package. This means, civil servants benefit from postpaid package savings of RM120 per year. This package will also be effective from 31 August 2023.
