UMW Toyota Motor Reports Robust July 2023 Sales Of 8349 Units, Expands Services

UMW Toyota Motor ended July 2023 on a strong note with monthly total sales of 8,349 units (Toyota + Lexus), comprising 8,200 units for Toyota and 149 units for Lexus.

This in turn took the total year-to-date sales as of July 2023 to 57,008 units compared to 52,548 units for year- to-date sales registered in July 2022, an increase of 8.5% from the previous year.

The monthly sales recorded in July 2023 was also an increase of 25.8% compared to July 2022.

Expansion of sales and service centres

Customers in Penampang now have better access to Toyota services with the expansion of Armada KK Automobile – a Toyota dealer since 2005, from a 1S to 3S centre. The new centre was officially opened at Mile 6, Jalan Penampang, offering Sales & Service Centre facilities to customers in Penampang and surrounding areas in Kota Kinabalu. The new 3S centre is equipped with 18 service bays to meet the needs of Toyota drivers.

Over in Peninsular Malaysia, residents of Muar welcomed a new Toyota 4S centre when E.S. Yang Motor – a Toyota dealer since 1994, officially opened its new 4S outlet in Jalan Dato’ Haji Kosai, combining its previously separated 1S, 2S and Body & Paint outlets. To meet the needs of Toyota drivers, the new 4S centre offers 14 service bays and 20 Body & Paint bays.

In July, Toyota’s monthly promotion offered up to a 100% loan for a brand-new Toyota. For ease of purchase, customers can opt for a low instalment plan option from as low as RM628 a month for a Toyota Yaris. At the same time, buyers can enjoy a promotion offering up to RM10,000 cash rebate when they purchase a new Toyota Camry.

Meanwhile, the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing (GR) GT Cup Malaysia online racing series was also launched in July, newly rebranded from the GR Velocity Esports Championship. Now in its sixth consecutive year, the series is one of the most lucrative online racing events in the country, offering up to RM90,500 in cash prizes this year – the highest ever in GR GT Cup Malaysia history. For the first time this year, Toyota – the only car manufacturer and brand to be involved in e-racing, also brought the simulator racing experience to universities across Malaysia.
