Hextar Technologies subsidiary company, CIBC Technology Sdn. Bhd., has entered into a Memorandum of Collaboration with CIDB IBS Sdn. Bhd. for the enhancement of an innovative digital IBS products e-commerce marketplace platform for the construction industry.
The MOC aims to set out the understanding and terms of collaboration between CIBC and CIDB-IBS to explore a potential joint venture for the enhancement of CIDB-IBS’s IBSWare platform and the promotion and marketing of CIBC’s e-commerce
marketplace platform. These platforms are intended to serve as a collaborative space for buyers and sellers within the construction community, fostering enhanced efficiency, seamless connectivity, and growth opportunities for all stakeholders.
E-Build is an enhanced digital platform catering to the construction industry, with the primary objective of improving the sourcing and procurement of building materials in Malaysia. Operating on a two-sided Digital Marketplace Business Model, the platform provides a transparent quality mechanism that empowers users with relevant data for swift decision-making. Key features include a centralized material database with detailed specifications and pricing, a holistic supply chain, real-time inventory tracking, and an ecosystem relationship.
The platform it said will also accelerate e-commerce market growth locally and regionally, providing order tracking with delivery updates, secure payment gateways, and mobile app support.
