Principal Asset Management Appoints Michael Goosay As MD Of Global Fixed Income

Principal Asset Management SM has appointed Michael Goosay as managing director of global fixed income and portfolio manager on select strategies.

Goosay will build upon the firm’s focus on multi-sector fixed income investment strategies and solutions to meet a wide range of personalized investor objectives. The fixed income platform (AUM of $135.7 billion 1 ) has capabilities that span all major fixed income sectors with investment centers worldwide and over 110 investment professionals.

to advance client investment objectives by tailoring the right strategies to achieve them.” Goosay will take on leadership responsibilities across the platform. This includes being named as a portfolio manager on Principal Fixed Income’s flagship short-term income, core, core plus and US/global multi-sector strategies and associated products. The firm will continue to
leverage time-tested investment processes and proprietary investment tools. The objective and investment philosophy of any impacted strategies will remain unchanged.

Goosay comes to Principal with more than 25 years of investment industry experience. He previously spent 14 years at Goldman Sachs Asset Management as head of global pensions and multi-sector fixed-income portfolio management. He also served as a member of the Goldman Sachs Fixed Income Business Development Committee and the macroeconomic
outlook team. Prior to this role, Goosay held leadership positions at Drake Management, JPMorgan Chase, Prudential Financial, and GE Asset Management. Goosay earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Albright College and a Master of Business Administration degree in finance from Rutgers University.
