Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said August 14 will be a public holiday for Selangor if the unity government wins the state polls tomorrow.
In a special address on the eve of the election, Amirudin said this decision was unanimously agreed upon by all coalition partners.
He said this election is crucial in deciding the state administration for the next five years, and urged all to vote.
“You, the voters, have a choice between a government that will continue the legacy of the state’s success or a coalition that aims to use this election to create political instability and confusion.
“Clearly, they have nothing new to offer for Selangor,” he said.
