Former PM, Tun Mahathir Casts Vote Claims Poor Turnout

Former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and his wife fulfilled their duty as citizens when they completed their voting duties at Anak Bukit around 9:22 am today.

In a Twitter post now called X, Tun Mahathir said he noticed the turnout at the centre was poor and hoped more voters will turn out and make their vote count. He added the election is important as it will determine the future of the state and also se set the direction for the country.

The ex-PM has been the most critical among past leaders in the country over the new government’s management style that is promoting inclusivity, however, Tun Mahathir lamented that this will sideline the dominant Malay community. He has even gone to the extent of supporting his nemesis, the Islamic party whom he had in the past lambasted for their ideologies.
