Malaysia ended Tuesday’s (Aug 15) morning trading session higher on continued buying in selected heavyweights, amid mixed performance on regional bourses, dealers said.
At lunch break, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) rose 4.23 points to 1,461.23 from 1,457 at Monday’s close.
The key index opened 0.14 of-a-point easier at 1,456.86, and moved between 1,456.27 and 1,462.89 throughout the session.
On the broader market, gainers led decliners 476 to 333, while 392 counters were unchanged, 1,139 untraded and 13 others suspended.
Turnover stood at 2.05 billion units worth RM940.97 million.
