IRB: e-Taxation Services Mandatory In Stages Starting September

The Inland Revenue Board (IRB) has mandated the use of e-Taxation services through the MyTax portal in stages starting September 1 to empower and preserve the digitisation of the service delivery system to the people.

The IRB in a statement informed that the implementation of the mandatory use of e-Services is to support the government’s desire to increase the number of services completely online from the beginning to the end of the End-to-End (E2E) process in stages and completely which is expected on 1 January 2024.

“It is also one of the IRB’s efforts in applying elements of Awareness, Education and Services (A.E.S.) at all IRB service counters,” according to the IRB in a statement today (August 22).

According to the IRB, taxpayers are encouraged to switch to E2E services in all transactions including using online payment methods that have been provided to make payments to ensure that all recorded transactions are safe and orderly.

As an additional reference to taxpayers, the list of mandatory e-Services along with their explanations can be found via the link https://www.hasil.gov.my/en/e-services/.

The e-Service usage guide can be accessed through the MyTax portal, according to the IRB.
