Ringgit Rises Against Weaker US Dollar on Poor US Economic Data, Increased Risk Appetite

The ringgit opened higher against the US dollar on Wednesday as the greenback retreated following the release of the US economic data which came in below expectations, as well as the improvement in risk appetite, said an analyst.

At 9am, the local note stood at 4.6350/6385 against the greenback from 4.6445/6475 at Tuesday’s close.
