Ahmad Terrirudin Appointed As Malaysia’s New Attorney General

Lawyer Datuk Ahmad Terrirudin Mohd Salleh has been appointed as the new Attorney General with effect from September 6.

The appointment is to replace Tan Sri Idrus Harun who will set down on September 5.

Chief Secretary Tan Sri Mohd Zuki Ali, said the appointment of Ahmad Terrirudin was approved by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong in accordance with Clause (1) Article 145 of the Federal Constitution.

“The government would like to thank Tan Sri Idrus Harun for his service to the country during his tenure as Attorney General,” he said in a statement today (Sept 1).
