The authorities have not stopped investigating the 1MDB case as some quarters have alleged, in fact, Deputy IGP Datuk Ayob Khan reiterated that the police have been working on the case relentlessly.
Accordingly, the investigation encompasses all aspects of 1MDB including the whereabouts of Jho Low the main character wanted in the investigation. The police have also seized assets worth RM93.3 million from the fugitive lawyer Jasmine Low which includes 2 Pablo Picasso paintings that were believed to be obtained using the 1MDB funds.
The case is among the biggest money laundering scandal to hit Malaysia and has seen former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak being convicted and sent to prison. While who is believed to be the mastermind Jho Low is still at large and wanted by Interpol and Singapore authorities.
