Selangor Air Show Targets RM700 Million In Transaction This Year

The third edition of the Selangor Air Show is scheduled to start on 7 August at Skypark RAC, Bukit Jelutong with an estimated 117 exhibitors from domestic players and from abroad.

The State-organised three-day event is expected to attract over 20,000 visitors in various sectors and it targeting a potential transaction value of RM700 million. Countries involved include the United States, France, Denmark, Singapore, Australia, and Hong Kong, and will be inaugurated by Dato’ Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.

At the event, visitors will be able to experience the display of 40 static aircraft of various types including personal and sports aircraft in addition to new activities including drone air sports and a career carnival involving 20 airlines, which will provide advice on interview sessions as well as communication training. Starting in 2021, SAS has become the foundation of the State Government to promote the growth of the aerospace sector and help local companies and small and medium entrepreneurs explore the field.

Last March, former Investment EXCO Dato’ Teng Chang Khim targeted a potential investment of RM2 billion to be achieved through the organisation of the annual event. Last year’s event recorded a potential transaction value of RM1.174 billion, while SAS 2021 which was held for the first time recorded RM100 million.
