Tao Chinese Cuisine

Tao Chinese Cuisine has garnered significant recognition, having been crowned as ‘Best Muslim Friendly Chinese Restaurant’ at the prestigious Malaysia Tourism Award 2022. Spearheading this culinary excellence is Executive Chinese Chef, Chef Tommy Chong, along with Master Dim Sum Chef, Chef Lo Tian Sion.

At Tao, Chef Tommy takes great delight in displaying his culinary prowess and unveiling inventive innovations, placing a strong emphasis on mindfulness, care, and aesthetics. His right hand man, Chef Lo, a master with over 30 years of experience in the culinary arts, specialises in crafting exquisite dim sum. His passion for these delectable creations was sparked by his nostalgic childhood memories, and he consistently upholds the authentic flavours while infusing creative twists into dim sum staples such as Siew Mai and BBQ chicken buns.

Dim Sum Making Experience with Master Dim Sum Chef Lo

Launched in conjunction with National Dim Sum Day 2023, classes (with advanced reservation) will be priced at RM168 per person and will take place every Sunday at 3PM, each lasting approximately 1.5 hours. As more is always the merrier, there will also be a Family Fun package of RM714 for 5 persons. And here’s the cherry on top – attendees can take home all their dim sum, ensuring nothing goes to waste.

In this hands-on experience, participants will have the chance to create 3 distinct Steamed and Fried dim sum delicacies all nestled within a single basket. Guided by Chef Lo, the creative journey begins with a twist—the dim sum dishes would have been selected beforehand, adding an element of surprise. All guests need to do is be present and embark on this gastronomic adventure, meticulously recreating these dishes by following step-by-step instructions. It’s an educational and fun-filled experience that promises to leave lasting memories and newfound culinary skills. Moreover, we are delighted to share that this experience is open to all, with all ingredients being Muslim-friendly.

To wrap up this thrilling experience, every participant will be granted an exclusive 25% discount for Tao’s All-You-Can-Eat Yum Cha Lunch or Dinner, offering the ideal opportunity to savour a lavish buffet meal at any time they please.
