MAHB MD Dato Iskandar Mizal To Be Replaced By Group CFO

Malaysian Airports Berhad Group has announced the impending tenure expiry of its Managing Director Dato’ Sri Iskandar Mizal Mahmood on 24 October 2023, with the confirmation that it will not be extended, the board has appointed Mohamed Rastam Shahrom, Group Chief Financial Officer, to the role of Acting Group Chief Executive Officer of the Company on 25 October 2023.   

Dato’ Sri Iskandar Mizal Mahmood was appointed as Malaysia Airport’s new Managing Director on 25 October 2021, he has 32 years of experience and has served several companies from multinationals to GLCs, in multiple sectors, of which 18 years were in leadership positions. He had previously served Malaysia Airports as General Manager where he had led the Initial Public Offering and listing of MAHB on Bursa Malaysia. His portfolio in MAHB included Finance, Corporate Finance, Business Development, and Investor Relations. He was also involved in international ventures including taking over the operations of India’s Hyderabad Rajiv Gandhi International Airport and as Board Member of Cambodia’s Phnom Penh and Siem Reap airports. 

He also served as Group CEO of Pos Malaysia Berhad and Media Prima Berhad as Group Managing Director.
