Bursa Malaysia’s Morning Trading Ends Slightly Lower Amid Regional Weakness

Bursa Malaysia ended the morning trading session slightly lower, in line with the mostly downbeat performance by regional peers.

At lunch break, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) eased by 0.34 of a point to 1,416.54 from last (Oct 6) Friday’s closing of 1,416.88.

The index, which opened 0.18 of a point higher at 1,417.06 in the morning, moved between 1,416.54 and 1,420.71 during the session.

The market breadth was negative with decliners surpassing gainers 425 to 337, while 372 counters were unchanged, 1,176 untraded and nine others suspended.

Turnover stood at 1.48 billion units worth RM792.02 million.
