Jom Cuti Cuti Malaysia 2023: 3-Day Event Records RM4.6 Million In Sales, 20,947 Tour Packages Sold

The Jom Cuti Cuti Malaysia (JCCM) 2023 exhibition and sales program which lasted for three days at the Blue Atrium, Sunway Pyramid started yesterday, offering more than 100 travel packages involving discount offers ranging from 15 to 50 percent.

The tour programme, which entered its seventh series this time, has managed to record sales revenue estimated at RM4,587,822.75 with a total of 20,947 tour packages sold so far.

Among the tourism packages targeted to attract visitors are Kota Kinabalu and Kundasang Tour Packages, glamping packages, honeymoon packages, vacation packages to Pulau Rawa, Redang and Tioman; Putrajaya Lake Cruise Package, entry tickets to Sunway Lagoon Theme Park, Segar City, Super Park and Farm In The City; scuba diving package, Teacher Vacation Package, Special Interest Package in conjunction with Tourism Malaysia’s 50th Anniversary Celebration and Arkeo and Lenggong Valley Geopark Tourism Package.

Dato’ Dr. Ammar Abd. Ghapar, the Director General of Tourism Malaysia said, the organisation of the JCCM 2023 Roadshow aims to boost domestic tourism activities through the sale of tourism packages directly to consumers as well as encouraging Malaysians to plan holidays within the country.

“At the same time, we want to help improve the economy of local industrialists through the involvement of 30 industry representatives consisting of agencies and owners of tourism products, hotels and theme parks in addition to increasing public visits to shopping centers.
“In that, we also hope to increase holiday movement within and between states in Malaysia through the offer of “value for money” tourism packages that can only be obtained within three days during the roadshow,” he said.

Launched on February 25, previous series were held at AEON Mall Nilai, Negeri Sembilan on May 26-28 followed by AEON Mall Kinta Cit(July 14-16) and AEON Mall Shah Alam (August 25-27). JCCM Roadshow 2023 will officially draw its curtain in the eighth series which will be organised at AEON Mall Melaka City on 10-12 November next.

In addition to exhibitions and sales of tour packages, visitors are also treated to cultural dance performances, handicraft demonstrations, flying bread shows and lucky draws.

Also promoted is the Year of Visiting Melaka, Perak and Perlis 2024 campaign through video screenings, information dissemination and leaflets, tourism quizzes and offering holiday packages.

Ahead of the Visit Malaysia Year 2026, Tourism Malaysia will move more aggressively in strengthening tourism promotion and marketing activities at both the international and domestic levels, in line with the government’s desire to target the arrival of 26.1 million foreign tourists and an estimated domestic expenditure of RM 97.6 billion.
