MYAirline Receives 15 Proposals From Investors, 2 Very Potential

MYAirline offers updates on its suspension status, on its investors, staff welfare, and customers as the embattled airline tries to save its reputation.

In response To Show Cause Notices by The Civil Aviation Authority Malaysia (CAAM and the Malaysian Aviation Commission (MAVCOM) it said it has formally responded to these two agencies on 25 October 2023 and 27 October 2023 respectively, within the deadlines imposed on MYAirline.

As for investors, the airline said it has received over 15 proposals from potential investors, 2 of whom are in advanced stages of negotiations. It said the team is working around the clock to finalize a recapitalization package that will revive our operations. This will also facilitate the reimbursement of monies to affected passengers as well as payment of salary and
statutory dues.

On staff welfare, it said that it has not terminated or placed any staff on unpaid leave since 12 October 2023 until to-date. And said that it understands the difficulties faced by the staff and assures everything is being done to address their plight.

It has set up an internal “Tabung Ihsan” to collect donations from within MYAirline for employees most adversely affected and made arrangements with PERKESO to apply the Employee Insurance Scheme (EIS) to ease their financial burden during this period.

On the matter of refunds for affected passengers, MyAirline said it has received over 30,000 calls and emails which are being attended to by its customer care team. States that it aims to make good on all refunds as soon as it receives the recapitalization package from its investors.
