MBSB Files Winding Up Petition Against Sentoria For RM303k Debt

MBSB Bank Berhad has filed a winding-up petition against Sentoria’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Sentoria Bina Sdn. Bhd. for sum owned.

The group said SBSB and the Company were served with the Winding Up Petitions with the case date fixed on 16 November 2023 and 18 January 2024 respectively.

The Company said it is indebted to the Petitioner for the sum of RM303,268.39 with late payment charges at 1% per annum as of 25 August 2023, the judgment debt was for the settlement of outstanding Hire Purchase-i facility granted by the Petitioner to SBSB for the purpose of hiring of machinery and equipment related to SBSB’s business. The company said it had provided a corporate guarantee on the AITAB Facility.

Save for the legal fees and disbursements involved in challenging and opposing the Winding Up Petition, Sentoria said it does not expect any material impact on the financial and operation of the Company arising thereon.

Sentoria said it is seeking necessary legal advice to resolve and/or defence against this matter vigorously.
