Kedah state-owned Bina Darulaman Berhad has informed Bursa that one of its directors, Haji Muhamad Sobri Bin Osman Osman has resigned with immediate effect.
According to the filing, Sobri began his career in 1984 as a Production Engineer at Hitachi Semiconductor Sdn. Bhd. and was promoted to Industrial Engineering Manager, a post he held for ten years. He then moved on to the Human Resources and Training & Development department in Renesas Semiconductor Sdn. Bhd. Prior to his retirement in 2013, Haji Muhamad Sobri led the team which established the Kulim Technology Park as the premier location for capital-intensive, high-technology manufacturing, advanced technologies, and R&D operations. He was appointed to lead Kulim Technology Park Corporation in 2008.
Sobri was also appointed as Chief Executive Officer of Menteri Besar Kedah Incorporated from 1 September 2020 until 31 August 2023.
