Sersol Auditors Resign

Sersol has informed Bursa that it had received a notice from its auditors Messrs. UHY of their resignation as the Auditors of the Company.

The group’s board said it was informed by UHY that the resignation was due to a lack of manpower, additionally, the board also informed that Selrsol is not aware of any other matters that need to be brought to the attention of the shareholders of Sersol.

This comes from the series of incidents the company has been going through with its Chief Executive Officer being terminated following his absence. Datuk Wira Justin Lim Hwa Tat (Datuk Wira Justin Lim) was terminated from his duties with effect on 6 November.

Justin Lim was suspended for insubordination and failure to act as a responsible CEO due to non-response to any of the official requests made by the Board since 20 July 2023 including asking him to return to the office to report.

The board had also upon his return to provide a written response on the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission’s inquiry on him and what work has he been doing as CEO while he is abroad.

It was seeking the basis to warrant Justin Lim as CEO to be abroad and away from office since February 2023 and expressed concerns about whether he has been effectively discharging his role as CEO of Sersol.
