MyEG Gets RTD Nod To Pilot Test MYDTS With Actual Candidates From Dec

MyEG has announced that it had received a letter from the Road Transport Department of Malaysia to notify it to proceed with the implementation of the pilot phase for MYDTS (“MYDTS Pilot Test”) involving actual test candidates from 18 December 2023 until 16 February 2024

The group said it does not foresee any risks in relation to the MYDTS Pilot Test. MyEG sees the appointment as of the best interest of the company and is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets per share of the company for the financial years ending 31 December 2024 onwards upon successful commercialisation.

MyEG back in November 2021 got the nod from the Road Transport Department to commence the proof of concept to set up an Automated Training and Driving Test System or e-Testing to assess the competencies of candidates undergoing the Drivers’ Learning Education Curriculum.

While the POC will have no contract value the proposition for transforming the driving licence process can be immensely valuable for MyEG and also the potential applicants if the digital application gets started.

When it filed the announcement on Bursa, MyEG expected work to commence from 1 December 2021 until 1 February 2022.
