SOCSO’s Personal Data Leak Sparks Urgent Response

The Social Security Organisation (Socso) has acknowledged the allegations of a cybersecurity incident affecting the agency.

A representative stated, “We are aware and will be issuing a comprehensive statement,” in response to inquiries from LifestyleTech.

On December 5, a user on BreachForums asserted that personal data had been exposed from Socso. The posted information included sample data containing names, addresses, payment methods, and mobile numbers.

The user further asserted that additional samples would be disclosed within the next 72 hours.

A day later, the same user shared a link to a video, claiming it was a recording of a meeting involving Socso’s management team addressing the cybersecurity incident.
