Sime Darby Berhad has appointed Muhammad Noor who was previously the Chief Financial Officer of the Motors Division as its the group’s CFO effective immediately.
He was the CFO from September 2020 to October 2023 at the motors division responsible for all financial matters and disciplines across the Motors Division, and subsequently appointed as the Deputy Group Chief Financial Officer of Sime Darby Berhad until 12 December 2023 prior to his present position as the Group Chief Financial Officer.
Before joining the Sime Darby Group, Muhammad Noor was the Chief Financial Officer for UEM Edgenta Berhad and the Group Chief Financial Officer for Pos Malaysia Berhad. He also spent nearly 15 years with the Nestle Group in various capacities and roles in several countries. Muhammad Noor has over 26 years of experience as a finance and business leader with demonstrated exposure in the manufacturing, logistics, e-commerce, package/freight delivery, healthcare, infrastructure solutions and automotive businesses in FMCG, retail, concession and trading industries.
He did his accounting and finance bachelors in Safford UK and Advanced Management Programme with Harvard Business School in Boston, USA.
