SKL, MTD Sign MOU On To Be Approved Elevated Highway Along Klang River

Sungai Klang Link Sdn. Bhd. signs MOU with MTD Construction Sdn Bhd on the proposed elevated highway project by SKL to the Government.

SKL is proposing an elevated highway project to the Government of Malaysia and said it is seeking the final approvals for the right to build, own and operate it as a concessionaire. The proposed highway is currently in the final stages of approval by the Government.

MTDC, a subsidiary of MTD Group, a well-established conglomerate with a proven track record in Construction, Tollway Operations, Real Estate & Property Development, System Integration, and Outdoor Advertising, will contribute its know-how, experience, and expertise to the development of the proposed highway project. The support will extend across the planning, construction, and completion phases of the highway, with MTD Group offering comprehensive services, manpower, materials, and equipment. Notably, there will be a particular focus on addressing the highway operations and maintenance aspects of the project.

The proposed highway is a 53 km highway will running along the Klang River in the Klang Valley, it is planned to incorporate seven proposed interchanges, commencing in Klang with an interchange at the West Coast Expressway and concluding at the New Pantai Expressway 2 (NPE 2) interchange.
