Supermax Appoints New CEO Along With Key Management Team

Supermax Corporation Berhad has announced a new organisational structure with significant changes to its senior management team including the appointment of a new Chief Executive Officer. ,

The rubber glove company has appointed T an Chee Keong as Senior Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer effective January 2 2024. He has been with Supermax Group since 2000 and initially served as the Vice President of Aurelia Gloves, a division of Supermax Healthcare Inc., and later as the CEO of Supermax Healthcare Inc.

CK Tan has over 20 years of experience in the US healthcare glove market and was responsible for the execution of the
Company’s long-term growth and development, as well as strategic planning and implementation of the Company’s global marketing initiatives in Brazil, Canada, Hong Kong, Singapore, UK and USA.

He will also continue to remain as Chief Executive Officer of Supermax Healthcare Inc. and Maxter Healthcare Inc. in the US, is also involved in the recent establishment of Supermax’s first manufacturing facility in Brazoria County, Texas USA, with construction set up to be substantially completed before the end of December 2023.

In his new role, CK Tan will spearhead the Company’s strategic plans and global business growth as the Company reorganises internally to ensure greater efficiencies are met for its next phase of manufacturing activities, including operations in the US.

The new organizational structure also included the addition of several key management positions filled by the promotion of existing internal staff who have been with the organization for over 20 years. Mr. Tan Bow Kok or BK Tan, who has been with Supermax Group since 1999, will be appointed as the new Chief Operation Officer and will oversee the Manufacturing Operation of Supermax Group and be assisted by a new Deputy Chief Operating Officer.

The Group will also have a new Chief Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs Officer.
