Powering Townships Sustainably

Tenaga Nasional Berhad and Sime Darby Property Berhad are joined forces in accelerating sustainable energy projects especially at the developers townships.

Both parties signed MOUs where TNB will focus on the implementation of various sustainable energy initiatives including rooftop solar installations, electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure and innovative microgrid solutions in the Sime Darby Property township over the next two-year period.

TNB President and Chief Executive Officer, Dato’ Seri Ir. Baharin Din. “Through this MoU, we aim to contribute significantly to Malaysia’s clean energy objective in line with the vision of achieving 70% renewable energy capacity (RBC) by 2050.” The partnership between TNB and Sime Darby Property represents an important step towards clean energy in Malaysia and a commitment to create more environmentally friendly cities.
