Hello Smart Revolutionises Smart Home Sales with Wavelet’s Omnichannel CP-Commerce Platform

Hello Smart Sdn Bhd, the authorised distributor and service partner for Aqara, a leading provider of smart home products, has partnered with homegrown solutions company Wavelet Sdn Bhd to harness the power of CP-Commerce, an omnichannel e-commerce platform. This collaboration aims to expand market reach and boost sales and revenue for Hello Smart.

Aqara’s range of smart home products available in Malaysia includes the Aqara Magic Switch S1E, the Aqara Door and Window Sensor P2, the Aqara Smart Face Recognition Door Lock D200i, and the Aqara Lighting Pro Smart Home Solution.

“These innovative products empower homeowners with advanced automation and security features, enhancing convenience, safety, and energy efficiency in their homes,” said Hello Smart Executive Director Datuk Hong Choon Hau (main pic) in a statement to Business Today.

“Aqara’s smart home solutions solutions cater to the diverse needs of modern homeowners in Malaysia, making their lives smarter, safer, and more connected. The demand for these solutions has been on the rise since Hello Smart became Aqara’s official distributor for Malaysia in July,” added Datuk Hong Choon Hau (pic – with Aqara’s Global Sales Manager Harry Zhang during the launch last July).

Malaysia’s smart home market is still in its early stages of growth, with significant potential. Statista estimates that total smart home device sales reached $268.2 million (RM1.25 billion) in 2022, with a projected penetration rate of 26.0% by 2027. This growth is driven by increasing market awareness, decreasing device costs, and improving technology capabilities.

“To meet this growing demand, major residential projects in Malaysia are incorporating smart home technology, reflecting the increasing adoption of smart home solutions and the desire for sophisticated living spaces. Due to increased demand, Hello Smart needed to scale its outreach efforts,” said Datuk Hong.

Wavelet’s Omnichannel e-Commerce platform, CP-Commerce, has played a pivotal role in Hello Smart’s expansion strategy.

Wavelet’s CEO Vincent Lee described CP-Commerce as a game-changing platform that revolutionises the online selling experience.

“This omnichannel e-commerce platform offers seamless integration with popular marketplaces, including conversational commerce via platforms like WhatsApp and social media. CP-Commerce caters to various business models, from B2B to B2C and B2B2C,” said Vincent.

CP-Commerce features a Membership Management Module, empowering businesses to implement entities, reward memberships, and manage abandoned shopping carts efficiently. It supports multiple voucher types, including Reward, Discount, Settlement, and Configured shipping vouchers, offering flexibility in promotional strategies.

Entities within CP-Commerce accommodate various scenarios, allowing single-user access to multiple entities. The platform also offers control over B2B websites through customer account segmentation. Additionally, CP-Commerce supports inventory management, abandoned shopping cart engagement, and the Online-to-Offline (O2O) concept, ensuring a seamless shopping experience.

Hello Smart’s partnership with Wavelet and the adoption of CP-Commerce have enhanced their online selling experience, streamlined operations, and expanded their customer base.

This platform is part of Wavelet’s flagship offering, BigLedger, which redefines business operations by providing a central data exchange hub with flexibility and efficiency.

BigLedger has redefined the modus operandi for myriad companies, offering a centralised data exchange hub that epitomises flexibility and efficiency and emerging as a ‘composable enterprise platform’.

BigLedger’s modular approach empowers businesses to integrate various applets based on their unique requirements. This ingenious approach is unlike traditional ERP systems as it offers an array of customisable, manageable tiny applications, or ‘applets’.

With Hello Smart having also adopted other BigLedger modules like Purchase Order, Sales Order, Delivery Order, Sales Invoice, Stock Adjustment, Stock Transfer, Financial/Accounting transactions and reporting capabilities, the company is also better positioned to adapt and thrive in the digital marketplace.

“BigLedger essentially bridges the gap between online and offline realms, enhancing customer experiences and fostering loyalty,” said Datuk Hong.

Hello Smart’s journey with CP-Commerce and BigLedger demonstrates the potential for businesses to leverage technology and integration to drive growth, meet customer demands and excel in today’s dynamic marketplace.
