Ajiya Berhad has informed that its Chief Executive Officer, Dato Chan Wah Kiong has tendered his resignation with immediate effect. The group said the resignation was part of the expiry of his services till December 31 2023.
Dato’ Chan 64, holds a Bachelor of Science (majoring in Chemistry and Biology) from Campbell University, USA in 1983. He received his Technology Specialist (Ts) awarded by Lembaga Teknologis Malaysia (Malaysia Board of Technologists) in 2021.
He started his career with a paint manufacturer in 1984 and moved on to various manufacturing companies holding senior positions. With his extensive experience garnered from the manufacturing industry, he decided to venture into the roofing, and subsequently glass business.
Dato’ Chan is the founder member of Ajiya Group of companies. He was the Managing Director of Ajiya Berhad since September 1996, a position he held until May 2022 and appointed as Chief Executive Officer of Ajiya.
