Japan Issues Tsunami Warning After 7.6 Quake Hits Coast

Japan has issued a tsunami warning for its almost all of its western coast after a powerful earthquake with a magnitude of 7.6 hit off the Noto Peninsula about 300km from Tokyo.

The metrological department has issued the tsunami warning at 4:10 pm Monday at the Ishikawa Prefecture being the epicentre.

The quake prone country experienced one of the worst tsunami tragedy in 2011 when over 10,000 people perished, the magnitude of the earthquake then was 9.9.
