Selangor Will No Longer Issue Physical Quit Rent Bills

Selangor will no longer issue physical bills for quit rent and parcel tax starting this year, the state administration said in an official statement today.

Property owners can scan the QR code included on the Selangor Land Department’s social media to obtain the bill online. “Users can register by entering their account number, ID or ownership details. Or they can contact [email protected],” it said on Facebook.

Owners are reminded to pay their related taxes before May 31 every year by referring to ehasil.selangor.gov.my. It said, land or plots with tax arrears can be subject to land confiscation under Section 100 of the National Land Code 1965 and Section 23L of the Strata Title Act 1985.
