Catcha Digital Acquires 70% Stake In The Reporter For RM665k

The Catcha Digital group has acquired a 70% stake in TR Media which owns website The Reporter.my for RM665,000

The group said the purchase consideration for the Proposed Acquisition was arrived at on a willing buyer willing-seller basis after taking into consideration on the online platform and that it may complement its iMedia’s advertising in the Malay language network by way of cross-selling opportunities or cost savings in terms of user acquisition.

On the purchase consideration of RM665,000 for a 70% equity interest in TR Media, Catcha said it translates to a valuation of RM950,000 for the entire equity interest in this company which translates to a price-over-page views metric of 0.08,
being RM950,000 divided by an extrapolated page views of 12,560,292 per annum (calculated based on total page views of 6,280,146 from July 2023 to December 2023 divided by 6 and multiplied by 12).
