Ringgit Is Now 3.53 Against Singapore Dollar

The ringgit continues to head down with Meanwhile, the local note was mostly lower against Asean currencies.

It went down against the Singapore dollar to 3.5291/5331 from 3.5252/5298 yesterday which is among the lowest the local currency has hit in the past years.

Despite strong fundamentals, the ringgit continues to be a laggard among regional currencies, Bank Negara had issued statements on the local currency movement saying that its position does not reflect the economic stability of the country.

The ringgit against the Thai baht was at 13.2931/3131 from 13.2493/2706 previously, and dropped against the Indonesian rupiah to 302.7/303.2 from 302.3/302.8.
