In view of the recent report of Electrolux Singapore shutting its operations, the Electrolux Professional Group has issued a statement saying that it is a separate entity from the Electrolux Group and are run independently from each other.
Therefore, it said the media reports regarding a closure of Electrolux Group’s regional office in Singapore has no connection or impact to Electrolux Professional Group’s regional office in Singapore.
In 2019, AB Electrolux made the decision to split the company into two separate listed companies – “Electrolux Group” for household appliances and “Electrolux Professional Group” for professional appliances. Since this split, Electrolux Professional Group has been operating as its own entity, as one of the leading global providers of food services, beverage and laundry for professional users.
Electrolux Professional Group is listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange and continues to deliver strong financial performance, achieving record results in 2023. In January 2024, the company acquired Tosei Corporation, a leading Japanese manufacturer of professional vacuum packing machines for food and laundry equipment, expanding its offering in the fast-growing as well as resilient markets. Its Singapore regional headquarter remains a very important hub for the continued growth of its business in the Asia Pacific, and there is no impact to staff and operations there.
