UMW Holdings has announced that Bursa Securities informed that under the Main Market Listing Requirements the entire issued share capital of UMW will be removed from the Official List of Bursa Securities with effect from 9.00 a.m. on Monday, 19 February 2024.
This would mean, the group will no longer be listed on the Exchange or be traded for the first time since its listing in more than 5 decades. This comes after Sime Darby made a mandatory takeover bid of the entire company late last year.
UMW Holdings Berhad shares were listed on the KLSE and the Stock Exchange of Singapore in 1967, in place of the shares of UMW Corporation Berhad.
