Sunway University Seeks To Elevate Supply Chain Profession In Malaysia

Sunway University and The Logistics & Supply Chain Management Society (LogiSYM) are partnering to advance the supply chain profession in Malaysia by fostering a stronger connection between academia and industry.

The initiative spearheaded by Dr Stella Ong Kim Yoke, Associate Dean (Employability, Engagement & Impact), Sunway Business School will see both parties seeking to elevate the standards of the supply chain profession in Malaysia by promoting collaboration, knowledge exchange, and research initiatives between academia and industry experts. This strategic alliance aims to address the evolving challenges and opportunities in the dynamic field of logistics and supply chain management.

Sunway University President, Professor Sibrandes Poppema expressed his enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, “This partnership is a testament to our commitment to providing a holistic and industry-relevant education. By working closely with LogiSYM, we aim to contribute significantly to the development of skilled professionals in the supply chain sector.” Dr. Raymon Krishnan President of the Logistics & Supply Chain Management Society emphasised the importance of bridging the gap between academia and industry, stating, “LogiSYM is excited to join hands with Sunway University in this endeavor. Together, we can create a platform for the exchange of ideas and expertise, ultimately benefitting the growth and sustainability of the supply chain profession in Malaysia.”

The MoU signing represents a pivotal moment for both Sunway University and LogiSYM, as they embark on a journey of mutual collaboration and knowledge-sharing for the advancement of the supply chain profession in Malaysia.
